Freelance 3D modeler
Buildings, objects, characters: I model your projects for 3D printing, animation, or photorealistic rendering. All I need is a plan, a sketch, or a brief.

In short
What is freelance 3D modeling?
Freelance 3D modeling involves creating three-dimensional models of buildings, objects, or characters for 3D printing, animation, or rendering. Anthony Ménard has been working on these projects since 2012 in Ploumagoar, Brittany, using Blender and KeyShot for building construction, architecture, games, and film.
A 3D rendering helps your client visualize a project before making a decision, whereas a 2D plan remains reserved for professionals. Depending on the needs, I supplement the work with Photoshop or After Effects for post-processing images and videos.
What you gain from it

Services
My 3D modeling services
Whether based on a plan, a sketch, or a concept, 3D technology meets a wide variety of needs.
Plan modeling
Building interiors and exteriors, environments, objects and concepts before modeling, including in low poly.
Texturing and rendering
Mesh cleaning, UV mapping, materials, lighting and presentation renderings for architecture and product.
3D printing
Print-ready objects, with hollowing and STL file preparation.
Product demonstration and animation
Exploded views, product demonstrations and guided tours, to be complemented by motion design.
Characters and motion capture
Rigging, animation, face tracking, body suiting, and Leap Motion. I also create animated characters for FaceRig, on a dedicated website.
Web integration
Integrated models on Sketchfab or Unity 3D, with controls and navigation, like an online configurator.
Examples
Some achievements
Medical visualization and product configurator: two very different uses of the same technique.

How much does a 3D rendering cost?
The price depends on the complexity of the project, the level of detail, the number of views, and the final resolution. These guidelines apply to architectural renderings.

3D and acquisition
Renderings that also serve your campaigns
A rendering, an exploded view, or a product demonstration becomes advertising visuals and images for your sales pages. Since I also manage the acquisition process, I design these creations for your ads from the outset.

Frequently Asked Questions
Your questions about 3D modeling
What documents do you need to get started?
An AutoCAD drawing, a SketchUp file, a PDF, a Revit model, or a photo of a paper plan will work. A sketch or a written brief will also suffice. If your plans are incomplete, we will clarify the missing information before we begin.
How long does it take to get a 3D rendering?
Allow 5 to 7 days for a single deliverable and 10 to 14 days for three deliverables. For a video animation or a 360° virtual tour, allow 3 to 4 weeks. The detailed schedule is included in the quote.
How much does a 3D rendering cost?
A single high-definition image starts at €350 excluding VAT, and a pack of three images at €950 excluding VAT. More ambitious projects, with animation or virtual tours, are subject to a custom quote.
What is the difference between a still image and a 3D animation?
A still image is a high-resolution image showing a single viewpoint. A 3D animation is a sequence in which the camera moves around or within the project. It conveys volume more effectively and captures attention more readily.
What software do you use?
I primarily use Blender and KeyShot, with Photoshop or After Effects for post-processing.
Do you work remotely?
Yes. I'm based in Ploumagoar, near Guingamp, and I work remotely with clients in France and internationally. The project is managed via email and video calls.
